PRODUCTION MANAGER - BC (TIJ)

Veritiv is looking for a: PRODUCTION MANAGER


Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize and direct the warehouse, manufacturing, quality, safety and maintenance operations
• Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital. Assure attainment of business objectives and production schedules while insuring product standards that will exceed our customers’ expectations
• Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem solving and cost reduction, both on a permanent and ad-hoc basis, depending on need
• Establish training protocol for individuals and departments as required
• Develop guidelines and documentation regarding status of employees and their abilities
• Ensure schedule stability that allows for maximum return on efficiencies
• Innovative ideas encouraged for increasing production capacity and lowering manufacturing costs
• Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes
• Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas
• Establishes, maintains, and reports on expense budget


Required Experience:

• Education – Engineering or Business Degree
• Minimum of 5 years of Production Management experience in a fast pace, high volume, low mix manufacturing environment.
• Bi-lingual Spanish and English INDISPENSABLE

• Advanced MS office skills
• Broad Knowledge base of operations discipline
• Lean or 6 Sigma certificate a plus
• Safety and hazmat training a plus
