CUSTOMS SPECIALIST

Veritiv is looking for a: GLOBAL TRADE COMPLIANCE (CUSTOMS)

Responsibilities:

Support Sales local team to set up within veritiv Mx system (virtual pedimentos), control and maintenance customs customer accounts.
Program import & export local operations by coordinating forwarder, freight customs brokers and internal veritiv teams.
Request COO/NAFTA for customers.
Support local team to solve customs issues with customers and suppliers.
Follow up shipment (land, air & ocean) until their final delivery place.
Optimize Mx veritiv resources to reduce imports & export expenses.
Review billing from service suppliers (customs broker, freight and forwarder) and follow up their payment.
Coordinate customs customer team and their customs brokers on transfer operations.
IMMEX compliance.
Required Experience :

1+ year experience in tasks related Mx customs.
Mx National & international trade regulations knowledge.
Bilingualism in Spanish and English is essential, French optional.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.
Autonomous with proven ability to work under minimal supervision.
Proven track record of leading project-based teams.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical information to external and internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
College or university training in customs or a related field, an asset;
Ability to autonomously make decisions within the scope of the position and to know when to seek additional information.
